As student safety is a top priority, we are implementing some new safety protocols this year. All students will be required to wear school IDs as they get onto the bus, during the school day, at breakfast, lunch, and when they get off the bus.

The first badge and lanyard are provided by Bloomingdale Public Schools. If the student loses the badge the student will be asked to pay $10 for a replacement badge and $5 for a replacement lanyard.

We are rolling out Tyler Technology's My Ride 360 program for our students who ride the bus. This will help with attendance and safety for our students as they ride to and from school each day.

Students will swipe their badge on a badge reader as they load and unload the bus. Attached is a brochure that presents an App that parents can download to their phone with some information on how this new program allows them to see if their student is in attendance on the bus.

The student's ID is specific to their bus stop information. This helps us verify that the student did or did not get on or off the bus at their designated stop or at the school.

Again, student IDs will be used on the bus, at breakfast, lunch, and throughout the school day. It will be very important that your student does not lose their student ID badge and that they wear it every day. We appreciate your cooperation with this new process.

Sincerely,

Dr. Deanna Dobbins
